TEDx Edmonton is a one day event that will feature a combination of live speakers, selected TED Talks, and opportunities for discussion and networking between delegates and speakers. Further details on sessions and speakers will be posted online closer to the event date, so stay tuned!

Venue & Location

TEDx Edmonton will take place at the TransAlta Arts Barns, located in the heart of Old Strathcona’s Theatre District. The TransAlta Arts Barns are one of the city’s best known cultural and community spaces, home to Fringe Theatre Adventures and the internationally recognized Edmonton Fringe Theatre Festival.

artsScene Edmonton After Party

Following TEDx Edmonton will be an after party hosted by artsScene Edmonton, also taking place at the TransAlta Arts Barns. Additional tickets to this event will be available online to everyone on a first come, first serve basis.

Attending TEDx Edmonton

At this time, TEDx Edmonton is an invitation-only event. While we would love to open the event up to as many people as possible, we are limited by our license from TED to host an intimate gathering. Like other TED events, TEDx Edmonton aims to inspire productive discussion among a small group of passionate and creative doers and thinkers from across the city. Speaking at TEDx Edmonton

TEDx Edmonton will feature dynamic and inspiring speakers who best fit our theme of “Cultivating the Creative Economy”. Each session is no more than 18 minutes in length, and all speakers are treated equally (no keynotes). Over the past few months, our committee has been seeking out engaging thinkers, creators and innovators from across the city and beyond.
