TEDxEdmonton 2011 Speaker Lineup

Posted May 12th, 2011 by Ken Bautista | TEDxEdmonton 2011

TEDxEdmonton is about bringing together the best and brightest that our community has to offer, locally and internationally, from the fields of technology, entertainment, and design. Under this year’s theme, “Seeds of Innovation”, we sought out stories, visions and passions of emerging and bold artists, scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs who are transforming seeds of new ideas into bold new works, companies, and products.

After reviewing numerous speaker applications, videos, proposals and interviews, today we’re excited to unveil some of the presenters we’ve invited to share the TEDxEdmonton 2011 stage this year.

  • Todd Babiak – Best-selling author, writer and entrepreneurial storyteller
  • Minister Faust - Natural-born interviewer and life-long storyteller
  • Aaryn Flynn – Studio head of one of the world’s most acclaimed video game companies
  • Veer Gidwaney - Serial tech entrepreneur who’s gamifying good deeds
  • Laura McIlveen – Engineer and researcher in the field of green material alternatives
  • Sheetal Mehta Walsh – Champion of microfinance in developing and developed countries
  • Jessie Radies – Social entrepreneur and champion for shopping, eating and living locally

Find out more about our presenters here, and stay tuned for more announcements about our speaker lineup over the coming weeks!
